Sol Diana

Sol Diana is a half Filipino, half Scottish spoken word artist and teacher born and raised on traditional, ancestral, and occupied territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. His writing has appeared in collections like "Magdaragat: An Anthology of Filipino-Canadian Writing", and "Gathering our Breath: Remembering Lapu Lapu Day 2025." He credits the Filipino artists he grew up around as his biggest influences, and he continues their legacy by empowering his own students through art and education. His biggest hope is for a future where diasporic Filipinx youth are connected as a cohesive, safe community; their voices are heard; and their humanities are affirmed.
